The UTSP 0250 Concrete Pipe Testing Machine is specially designed to perform heavy-duty testing on drain and sewer pipes, concrete pipes, fixtures, fittings. The machine is particularly useful for pipes having a length exceeding 3000mm. The machine comprises a cylinder housing with a rotary power assembly and a cylinder. The interior of the cylinder is composed of non-corrosive aluminum liner and an in-built coil to provide an arc and increase the hardness of the weld.
The inner surface of the cylinder house is made smooth and flat for easy cleaning and to enhance the life expectancy of the machine. The housing also includes an adjustable metal actuator for raising or lowering the level of the inner surface of the pipe. On the other hand, the outer surface is provided with non-corrosive rubber and steel liners. This enables the bottom bearer of the machine to reach all places of the concrete pipes. With the help of a screw threaded ring attached at the top of the cylindrical housing the pipes are guided through the actuator.

The most commonly used sizes are 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm and 400mm. There are several models that are available with knurled or slanted rear faces. However, before installing the machine, it is necessary to check with the vendor on the installation requirements. In this regard, there are two types of concrete pipe testers – those that have rear faces and those that have front faces.
The hydrostatic testing machines are widely used for the detection of crack and strain within the walls and floors of different constructions. These are perfect for applying the concrete sealant. Finally, the last type is the hydraulic piston. This is considered as the best tool when it comes to checking the stresses in the concrete pipes. With the help of this device, one end of the pipe is restrained while the other end is gently pressed against the wall or the floor. When the distance between them gets smaller, then this is an indication of the stress that exists in the pipe. Once the pressure gets equal to the weight of the pipe, then this tool is used to show a positive reading.
